Voks is a young composer who admits to have been once obsessed with composition and rigourous writing processes. These two 20 minutes 3" CDs published by Dekorder are however far from being strict, it is actually rather the opposite. This is definitively a play ground of the sound through a wobbly universe of toys and samples, with some quite mysterious connotations as in some latvian or african folk musics, or sometimes dramatic as with Ghédalia Tazartès, or comic as with Add N to (X). Through this illuminated collection of small sound tales, Voks introduces to us his collection of musical boxes à la mode Circuit Bending.
