Ghédalia Tazartès is a brillant and real outsider musician in contemporary creation. Autodidact (he started to sing in a parisian wood for his own pleasure) his too rare recordings make you think of an artist whose raw material is mainly the voice, with all its intonation and that he disguises under many influences –opera, folk, rock'n'roll– so that one never knows which one prevails. Ghédalia Tazartès works mainly for theatre and contemporary dance, which implies a narrative aspect in his music: soundtracks from forgotten movies, playlists from another time, hypnotic gramophones loops, children voices, found tapes from obscur religious rites, these are only small bits of his astonishing and unique world…
