Yuko Nexus6’s sound pieces are like merry doll parties where bric-a-brac sonorities, delicate patchworks of jiingles, audio tapes and pre-recorded messages, language methods and other mechanical speeches make their familiar ways to the squeaking work of Ghédalia Tazartès, the nonchalance of Luc Ferrari or Agnès Varda’s collecting work. Collaborating with a good number of Japanese electro musicians (Dumb Type, Otomo Yoshihide...) she is the boss for samples and sound collages, all of this without soppiness or pompousness.
