Sa Zna
The collective CA 3HA discovered its name by noticing scattered letters of a torn poster on the Moscovite subway. Exclusively composed of amateurs working on found objects and their home made instruments, the group recorded here and there except in studio (kitchen, gallery). Following the days of the perestroika, Sa Zna developped its own musical language focused on improvisation, salvage materials, an incarnated sound poetry and somehow close to the works of canadians Pierre Tanguay and Pierre Langevin, to finnish group Hertta Lussu Ässä, to the chamanic traditions of Central Asia, or to Andrei Tarkovskis movies. These two CDs, probably the only available ones today, go back to 1992 and 1994 and offer a great depth of field in term of sound and a meticulous patience in the development of a contemplative feeling. |
