Gleaned in the streets of Auckland, this album is a nice discovery. Wandering pseudonym goer, bass player and sound engineer Paul Guilford took an identity probably inspired from the world of Oz or Planet of the Apes, in order to deliver to us a demiurgic version of sound creation. Heaven one Earth is a work sometimes evoking the entomological pieces of David Tudor or Marc Sens’ isolationist larsens, alternatively shunting from a strained to a peaceful wave, with most organic and electronic sparks. A very successful avatar of De Natura Sonorum (Parmegiani).
