| Jean Dubuffet - Musical experiments
Originally published in 1961, Jean Dubuffet's musical experiments cannot be ignored for whom is basically interested in music known as 'bruitist "or even "concrète", irony of fate when one knows that Dubuffet discovered these musics only well after these recordings. As in his art work, the claim for amateurism includes all the sounds: heteroclite accumulation of various instruments, wild use of a first price tape recorder and hardcore mixing. Goodnaturedly following the dadaistics and futuristic traditions, La Musique Chauve precociously announces the breaking waves of Free Jazz, Musique Concrète and other later psychedelism. |
