Variaciones del Fandango español
When one of the best contemporary pianists and harpsichordists, acclaimed interpreter of Scarlatti, Mozart and Schubert, looks with passion into the 18th century Spanish repertory of Fandango music, the result is a lively and heady music that points out one of the roots of Flamenco music. Besides, Staier is accompanied on the Boccherinis part by a castanets player. Staccato and détaché, typical of the harpsichord, blend perfectly with the pace and whirl of this music, reminding us that the instrument originates from the luth. |
