Rock & Pop music from the 60-70’s

In Cambodia, prior to the khmer rouges take of power in 1975, the musical scene was probably more or less that of Ethiopia, flourishing, varied and briskly mixing Western contemporary influences of rock'n'roll-pop with musical traditions, right before foundering into the most sterile diktat. The music of this time revived everything that was on the air and the influence of american music is clearly there, adapted as in the traditions of northern Thailand Mo Lam by amazing electric sounds. Apart famous singers such as Sim Sisamuth, compilers of these CDs obviously lacked of references, and it is a pity because one would have liked to know more!
